Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss- Review
I brought the Illamasqua Precision Ink from Selfridges last weekend after etcLlymrs raved about this eyeliner and couldn't wait to get hold of it. It's been my eyeliner every day since.
My regular eyeliner has been Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Eyeliner in Caviar which I love, have found it long-lasting and easy to use but over the summer it was transferring to my top eyelid so when I've come to the bottom of the pot, I thought I'd have a change!
The applicator on the precision ink is very easy to use. It's long, soft but firm which is loaded with eyeliner which makes it quick to sweep across the lash line and I got a cat-eye flick first time, everytime. It is a wet eyeliner but once applied it drys quickly and I never smudged when applying. It's a true black too, unlike a lot of so called black liners. It lasted all day at work and never budged, flaked or transferred to my top eyelid.
It's all good, but I haven't fallen in love. I have two main reservations; sometimes when applying it dryed too quickly and removed what you'd already applied when building a thicker line; and I wonder how long it will last. A Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Eyeliner pot lasted me a year, using it everyday. The precision ink is comparable in price so I'd hope it would last a comparable time but only time will tell!
